A week after legendary singer Bappi Lahiri’s demise on February 15, his family organized a prayer meet in the city to remember him. His son Bappa Lahiri along with his family, mother Chitrani Lahiri and sister Rema Lahiri held the prayer meet for their beloved father’s departed soul. The prayer meet was held at ISKCON Juhu in Mumbai. An emotional Rema was clicked kissing her father’s photo at the entrance of the prayer meet.

The prayer meet was attended by several celebrities including Shraddha Kapoor with her mother, Ila Arun, Om Puri’s wife and son, Jaan Kumar Sanu along with his mother, Anurag Basu, Alka Yagnik, Abha Paul, Nitu Chandra, Neha Bhasin, Sham Kaushal, Sulaiman Merchant, Salim Merchant, Shabana Azmi,Tina Dutta, Anup Jalota and Ramesh Taurani. Shraddha came in with her mother and brother Siddhant Kapoor.

Bappi Lahiri was cremated at the Vile Parle crematorium on February 17 after his son returned from Los Angeles following his untimely demise.
