Akshay Kumar motivates atheletes to win GOLD at upcoming 18th Asian Games

Akshay Kumar's upcoming film Gold is grabbing all the attention ever since the film was announced. The actor is busy promoting the Reema Kagti-directorial in full swing. The film will feature him as Tapan Das, manager of the Indian hockey team that won the nation's first Gold Medal as an independent country at the London Olympic Games in 1948.

Recently, the actor attended a 'send-off' event organised by Indian team's sponsors and encouraged Indian athletes ahead of the upcoming Asian Games 2018. At the event, Akshay was seen interacting with likes of gymnast Dipa Karmakar, boxer Mandeep Jangra, para-athlete Deepa Malik, and hockey player Yuvraj Walmiki. He not only wished them good luck but also motivated them to bring back gold for the country. It was indeed a pleasure to witness Akshay lifting the spirits of the athletes.

The 18th edition of Asian Games is slated to take place from August 18 to September 2 in the Indonesian cities of Jakarta and Palembang. A total of 541 athletes from India will be seen participating in 37 sports events.
