‘Uma Thurman and I have talked about a third Kill Bill’, says Quentin Tarantino

Ace director Quentin Tarantino is gearing up of the release of his ninth directorial Once Upon a Time in Hollywood starring Leonardo Dicaprio and Brad Pitt in the lead. However, Tarantino has teased that a third film in the Kill Bill film franchise might be in the works and he has talked about the same with the series star Uma Thurman.

Tarantino’s and Uma’s Kill Bill series is a highly successful film franchise. The first part of the franchise Kill Bill was released in 2003 followed up by Kill Bill Volume 2 in the next year. Talking about the third installment, Tarantino said during an American comedy podcast, “Uma and I have talked about it recently, frankly, to tell you the truth, I have thought about it a little further. We were talking about it literally last week. If any of my movies were going to spring from my other movies, it would be a third Kill Bill.

The film sees Uma take revenge on a group of assassins and their leader, the eponymous Bill after they try to kill her and her unborn child. The film featured a Japanese-style animation sequence. It was a homage to grindhouse cinema, including martial arts films, samurai cinema, blaxploitation films, and spaghetti Westerns.
