Ever since Rihanna dropped the pregnancy bomb alongside beau A$AP Rocky, all the fans and fashionistas have been going crazy to watch out for the beauty and music moghul’s maternity fashion. Dressed in a vintage pink puffer coat from Chanel’s 1996 fall collection with a few buttons popped, the beaut showed off her baby bump in style leading the way for other celebrity moms-to-be.
Ever since her big announcement, RiRi has never passed a chance of making our hearts skip a beat with her ultra-luxe pregnancy style and it shows! The mum-to-be is bumping out in style by showing off her little pebble in hot crop tops, baggy jeans and bomb jackets. But her chicest look yet was on the red carpet of the Fenty Beauty Universe Event in Los Angeles.
Pulling off a ‘Rihanna,’ the beauty moghul dazzled in a sheer, shredded custom Attico look that bore a halter neckline. The sequin tassels hugged her bump just at the right places, grabbing all the attention. Teamed with her neon green top was tasseled and sheer ombré pink pants that completed her outfit for the eve. The diva put together her look with a striking red pout with a hint of shimmer on lids and blush on cheeks. She wore her hair sleek and side-parted to add finishing touches to her look.
Speaking to People, Rihanna called her pregnancy ‘fun’ but also ‘challenging.’ “I like it. I’m enjoying it,” she commented on her maternity looks. “I’m enjoying not having to worry about covering up my tummy. If I feel a little chubby, it’s like, whatever! It’s a baby!”
Speaking about her motherhood journey, RiRi opened up on having days when she did not feel like getting up from the couch. “Right now, being pregnant, some days you just feel like, ‘Ugh, I just want to lay here on this couch all day. But when you put on a little face and a little lipstick, you transform… You put some clothes on, and it’s like when you look good, you feel good, I’ve heard that for a very long time, but it’s true. It really can get you up off that couch and make you feel like a bad bitch,” said the moghul.
When asked about her maternity fashion, the mum-to-be spoke about defying what it means to be ‘pregnant’ and ‘maternal.’ “I’m trying to enjoy it as much as I could. And fashion is one of my favorite things, so, you know, we’re defying what it even means to be pregnant and maternal. It can get uncomfortable at times and so you can dress the part and pretend,” she told ET.
