Apparel house UNIQLO's parent company Fast Retailing vows to donate a lump sum of 220 Million Rupees for COVID-19 relief in India

Japanese apparel and clothing brand UNIQLO's parent company Fast Retailing has joined the league of various other brands and pledged to donate 220 Million Rupees in India amidst the second wave of the COVID-19 crisis.

With the pandemic crippling the health care system and the need for oxygen rising, many NGOs and fashion brands like Studio Metallurgy, Misho Designs, Gauri & Nainika along with many other brands have joined hands and vowed their support to help deal with the situation to their best ability. 

UNIQLO took to Instagram to make this announcement. In a heartfelt caption, the brand wrote, "Our hearts go out to everybody affected by the second wave of the pandemic. In support, UNIQLO’s parent company Fast Retailing is donating 220 Million Rupees for India COVID-19 relief efforts."

The brand pledged its support to Give India and The Akshaya Patra Foundation to move forward with the COVID-19 aid and assistance required in the country.
