After facing misconduct claims from 11 people, NY-based designer Alexander Wang issued a fresh statement to ‘do better’ going forward. Previously, Wang denied all the accusations calling them ‘baseless and grotesquely false.’ However, as more claims against his substance-fueled behavior started to mount up, the designer issued an emphatic statement promising to ‘set a better example.’
On Monday, he took it to his social media account and posted a statement that read, “A number of individuals have come forward recently to raise claims against me regarding my past personal behavior. I support their right to come forward, and I've listened carefully to what they had to say. It was not easy for them to share their stories, and I regret acting in a way that caused them pain."
Although the designer did not outright apologize in his statement, he still disputed some of the claims made against him and disagreed "on some of the details of these personal interactions."
Lisa Bloom, the attorney that represented the 11 individuals with accusations against Wang, responded that they are moving forward with his public apology and have no comment on this matter further. "My clients had the opportunity to speak their truth to him and expressed their pain and hurt. We acknowledge Mr Wang's apology and we are moving forward. We have no further comment on this matter."

Seems like the battle that begun last year around December has finally put to rest. It all started when Instagram’s famous watchdog Diet Prada lent its voice to Shit Model Management, another IG account, to call out the American designer for his sexually abusive and substance-fuelled behavior. Post then Wang denied all the accusations but all in vain! Many models and people came forward with their claims against the designer which made this matter take a legal route.
