Filmmaker and fashion icon Karan Johar recently turned 48, but seems to age in reverse. With his unconventional and out-of-the-box looks, KJo has always managed us to hit the right fashion notes, due credit to his ace stylist, Nikita Jaisinghani.
This duo has always managed to achieve extravagant looks power-packed with oodles of drama. One such extravagant look that caught our attention was the dramatic Le Bal Oriental look in Gaurav Gupta. But did you know this stunning look is backed with a hilarious story?
In an exclusive conversation with PeepingMoon, Nikita spilled the beans on KJo’s exquisite looks and some BTS fun that came along with it. She recalled the time when Karan wanted an impromptu silver hair to go with his dramatic cape look layered with accessories. "We hadn't planned it to be silver so we didn't carry anything to colour it silver," she said.
Being right in the middle of nowhere at Jaisalmer, it was difficult to find a silver hairspray, thus sending her into a panic mode. Giving up, at last, she later started finding something equivalent to a silver hairspray that would be just enough to hold the look. She then found a silver eyeshadow and brought 7 to 8 of them."I had seen this silver eyeshadow and I was like okay let’s try this," Nikita said.
Although she was a bit skeptical about how KJo would react on applying eyeshadow on his hair, but being open to experimentation, he readily agreed.
