It's celebration time for Deepika Padukone as she recently turned Global Icon for Vogue Magazine's September issue along with 33 other International achievers. The actress radiated vintage charm and made every heart stop for a while, as she posed for the flashbulbs.

Deepika took to Instagram where she thanked the magazine for featuring her and shared the first look from the photo shoot.

Wearing a checkered shirt with a printed skirt and a black jacket from Michael Kors, Deepika accessorized her outfit with a printed handbag. Minimal makeup with the classic retro bouffant hairstyle, Deepika exuded grace and style, together in the picture.

In a candid interaction with the magazine, Deepika spoke about the threats she faced before the release of her Padmaavat (directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali). "In spite of all the roadblocks, to see the glory the film saw and the role specifically for me, I felt challenged in a way that I had never been challenged before," shared the actress.

While Deepika is yet to announce her next project, the actress is reportedly going to tie the knot with actor Ranveer Singh in November.
