After The Punjaabban Song that went viral, Rangi Sari has taken the audience’s fancy with its colourful vibe and soulful music. Rangi Sari is a recreated version sung by singer-composer Kavita Seth who released the track during the lockdown in 2020 in collaboration with her younger son Kanishk Seth.

Here are five reasons why Rangi Sari is a good recreation and here to make it to everyone’s playlist across the country.

Varun and Kiara’s crackling chemistry

Varun and Kiara’s chemistry is in the song Rangi Sari is too hot to handle. They are looking like a million bucks and their act is impeccable with the right emotions coming across. The two look breathtakingly eye-catching and it is difficult to take eyes off from them in the song.

The Irresistible Music Video

Rangi Sari takes a cue from its lyrics and presents a colourful and vibrant song where they immerse each other in Holi colours. Unlike other Holi songs, the use of abeer or gulal here is sensual and helps showcase the love and playfulness of the couple, as they smear colours on each other.

Soulful Vocals

Kavita Seth and Kanishk Seth’s vocals spell magic in Rangi Sari. Their voice suits perfectly the mood and the setting of the song and goes well with the dance club setting which is frequented by Varun and Kiara.

The magical allure of Hindustani Classical Music

Although Rangi Sari is a recreated version of Kavita Seth and Kanishk Seth’s song but in reality is a rendition of late classical singer Shobha Gurtu’s popular thumri. The song became a raging sensation on social media when it was first released during the first lockdown in 2020 and is a testimony to the fact that our Hindustani Classical music is still loved and revered by our Indian audiences and maybe Hindi music composers should once again look inward and incorporate our rich cultural heritage in our songs.

Groovy Steps

Rangi Sari has some immensely noteworthy groovy steps that will make the song a hit with the young generation. Varun and Kiara have done an awesome job with the dance routine and bring several hook steps to the song from Jug Jugg Jeeyo.

Jug Jugg Jeeyo also stars Anil Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Prajakta Koli and Maniesh Paul. It is directed by Raj Mehta and produced by Karan Johar under his banner Dharma Productions. The film is a family entertainer and is all set to release in theatres on June 24, 2022.
