Starring Julia Roberts and Richard Gere in lead roles, this film is about how an influential businessman and a high-end escort fall in love. While ‘Edward’s character development is mainly physiological, Julia’s ‘Vivan’ goes through a glamourous transformation! The off-shouldered red gown, thigh-high boots, posh robes, and the $25000 statement ruby neckpiece, oh boy, we were reeled in the sartorial goodness!

27 DRESSES

Katherine Heigl and James Marsden’s film is a classic rom-com tale with a glamourous twist. Cue- the name of the movie! Jane has always been in love with her boss, ‘George’ played by Edward Burns who falls for Jane’s sister. Enter cynical ‘Kevin Doyle’ a.k.a James who changes Heigl’s life for good. This story revolves around ‘always a bridesmaid’ Jane and her 27 bridesmaid dresses. From overwhelming ruffles and larger-than-life gowns to matching bags and arm-length gloves, her closet is full of dresses that can give any bridesmaid a nightmare. P.S wait till the end of the film for a sweet surprise!

DEVIL WEARS PRADA

Every fashionista knows that Devil wears Prada is ‘the’ fashion bible to swear upon.  This film gave us commoners a sneak peek into the world of high-end fashion. Meryl Streep’s ‘Miranda Priestly’, a powerful magazine editor showed us what luxe fashion is, while Andy’s a.k.a Anne Hathway’s glamourous transformation was something to watch out for! (Yes we are talking about her head to toe Chanel look) The mention and glimpses of Paris Fashion Week, the cameo of designer Valentino Garavani, oh boy this movie is high on fashun!

SEX AND THE CITY

Just like the series, this film is about four New York girls, 'Carrie Bradshaw, Samanta Jones, Miranda Hobbes, and Charlotte York', played by Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis who are strong, independent and fashion-forward. When 'Carrie' finally decides to get married to ‘Mr. Big’ (played by Chris Noth), we see incoming Vivienne Westwood and Vera Wang wedding dresses that could make any bride-to-be green with envy! Oh not to forget that stunning bridal couture photoshoot that brings tears to Samantha’s eyes. The fashion week glimpses, the OG Chanel bag and Bradshaw’s priceless blue Manolo Blahnik heels…SATC upped its fashion stakes with this film franchise.

OCEAN’S 8

From the series of Oceans 11, Ocean's 8 is also based on jewelry heist pulled off by an all-female crew at fashion’s grandest affair- the Met Gala! Be it Sandra Bullock’s bold coats and cut-out dresses, Cate Blanchett’s velvet emerald suit, Anne Hathway’s bright pink strapless Valentino gown or Rihanna’s Cinderella-inspired Zac Posen gown, this film was indeed all about fashion, and theft, of course! Not to forget the star-studded cameo cast of Anna Wintour, Kim Kardashian West, Kylie Jenner, Alexander Wang, Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, Zac Posen, Hailey Bieber, to name a few!

AISHA

Believe us, our list will not be complete without the inclusion of Sonam Kapoor Ahuja’s fashionista ‘Aisha’ in it. Produced by Rhea Kapoor, this film introduced big labels like Gucci, Chanel, Prada, Dior, and others to the Indian audience. Wow, too many big names in a single sentence! Sonam as a Delhi based socialite cupid brought fashion to Bollywood and we are forever grateful for that. Starring Shefali Puri, Ira Dubey, Abhay Deol and Lisa Haydon, this film is a must-watch on every fashionista’s list.

VEERE DI WEDDING

Another 'RheSon' classic, VDW revolves around the lives of four veeres and what happens when one of them decides to get married! Starring Sonam Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania in lead roles, this film features the best of the fashion industry. With wardrobe designed by the finest designers Abu Jani- Sandeep Khosla, one can expect nothing but perfection on the sartorial front.  From their dreamy wedding lehengas to their vacay wears, this film is nowhere short on fashion inspiration!
