Vogue Beauty Awards 2019: Glam Bam! Sara Ali Khan to Alia Bhatt, Bollywood’s leading ladies bring their A-game to the red carpet

The 10th edition of Vogue beauty awards was all about glamour and drama with OTT ensembles and ultra-chic looks. This start-studded night by Vogue India witnessed the best of Bollywood looks and in some cases, the worst as well.

Scroll down to see which of the tinsel town divas literally nailed it and which ones utterly failed it straight from the gala.

SARA ALI KHAN

Styled by Anaita Adajania, Sara knocked it out of the park with her mesh and ruffled number from Shriya Som. Her embellished sheer gown accentuated her torso and a thigh-high slit complemented those toned legs. Ruffled layering added just the right amount of drama to her attire. The Simmba actress opted for a radiant glam with lots of highlighter and smokey eyes to go with her sexy dress. A pulled back braided hairdo gave an edge to her look.

KRITI SANON

Kriti has been serving us with some good looks recently and this is definitely one of them. Styled by Sukriti Grover, the Raabta actress added the ‘glam’ in glamour with her hot pink couture with risqué slits by Monisha Jaising. Dainty accessories from Irasva and Occasions Fine Jewellery added a dash of glamour to her extravagant attire. Just like Sara, she opted for a radiant glam and a pulled back hairdo for the night.

ALIA BHATT

Styled by Anaita Adajania, Bhatt proved us once again that this is why we count on her style always! Her highly asymmetrical dress from Michael Costello featured sequined layered detailing. Like other leading ladies, the Raazi actress went for a thigh-high slit with silver metallic heels. Muted glam, smokey eyes and a messy, grungy ponytail added finishing touches to her look. Looks like not all queens wear tiaras, some just wear half capes and shimmery gowns...right Alia?

PATRALEKHAA

Patra left us speechless with her gorgeous black gown from label Jade. This cut out gown with mesh details accentuated her toned torso. A sexy low-back and a long train were the prominent highlights of her couture. Smokey eyes, bronze glam and a twisty braided hairdo added just the right amount of drama to her look. So unconventional!

Apart from these stunners, there were other divas that cut out a decent picture with their good looks.

MALAIKA ARORA

Styled by Tanya Ghavri, Malla chose a rather eye-popping ensemble for the night from label Aadnevik. Her mesh gown featured a super- plunging neckline and a slit that was high on the thigh. Red lips and messy hairdo rounded off her look.

While Malla's look was a dream come true for some, it was very OTT and uncalled for, for a lot of people. So although it received mixed expressions, her look for the Vogue soiree can definitely not be left as a passe. Well, what are your thoughts?

RAKUL PREET

Rakul went high on glam with her red hot Aadnevik number, courtesy stylist Tanya Ghavri. Puffy sheer sleeves, ruffled layering and risqué slits, her dramatic ensemble had it all. Preet opted for a radiant glam, nude lips and a messy ponytail to add finishing touches to her look. We definitely loved the look, but this wasn’t something new that our beloved Rakul hasn’t pulled off earlier.

SUNNY LEONE

Sunny cut out a ravishing picture in a shimmery Mark Bumgarner couture that featured a thigh slit and an off-shoulder detailing. She paired her blingy number with a pair of strappy silver heels. Leone’s crisp and clean look sure scored her some brownie points. We love the fact that she chose for a radiant glam and a neat hairdo to round off this look.

SHILPA SHETTY KUNDRA

Moving on from one bling affair to another! Styled by Sanjana Batra, Shilpa dazzled away the night with her sequined Reem Acra ensemble. Her shimmery, metallic couture featured mesh detailing. Opting for a sans accessory look, she let her glittery ensemble do all the talking. Subtle glam, smokey eyes and a gelled back hairdo added a grunge element to her look.

SHOBHITA DHULIPALA

Sobhita has carved a niche for herself on a sartorial front, thanks to her style picks. However, we cannot seem to make up our mind about this Vogue look of hers. We absolutely love her edgy one-shouldered Toni Maticevski gown, but we wish she could have opted for a different elegant hairdo to match with her attire.

There were some actresses that were glamorous enough but couldn’t hit the bull’s eye.

SONALI BENDRE, SHAMITA SHETTY AND TAHIRA KASHYAP

There is no doubt that these divas added glamour to the soiree with their looks, however, we expected a little more out of them as we have seen these look many times than we can count!

KALKI KOECHLIN, BHUMI PEDNEKAR AND SURVEEN CHAWLA

These Bolly divas need to break their mould and try something new. Also, that's not a Vogue-ish look, Bhumi!

RHEA CHAKRABORTY, KUBBRA SAIT, KUSHA KAPILA AND RADHIKA APTE

These ladies certainly tried their best to be a hit, but they are not there yet…sigh!

And then there were some who failed to make a point with their look. Check out the worst dressed ladies from the soiree-

KIRTI KULHARI, SWARA BHASKAR AND AMRITA ARORA

Monochrome gone wrong, nothing new and a failed attempt of Malaika's old look...Kirti, Swara and Amrita failed to impress us big time!

KARISHMA TANNA, GABRIELLA DEMETRIADES AND RADHIKA MADAN

being a designer herself, Gabriella chose the worst outfit of all times...Period.

SHIBANI DANDEKAR AND RICHA CHADHA

Even Monica Dogra's sizzling avatar couldn't succeed to cover up Shibani's drab look!

This sequined graffiti aint working for us...

Well, that's about it. Tell us what are your thoughts on this one.
