EXCLUSIVE INSIDE PICS: 'Ikyawann' grand launch

Star Plus is offering a new show in its prime time slot, Ikyawann, starring Prachi Tehlan and Namish Taneja. The show, which premiered on November 13 on the channel, replaced Ekta Kapoor’s historical offering Chandra Nandini. Peeping Moon.com has got hold of inside pictures of the grand launch from the show’s sets at Filmcity, Goregaon. The party was attended by the entire cast and the crew of the show except for the lead actress Prachi Tehlan.

The actress had to give the big event a miss as one of her family members was not keeping well. All the other actors including Namish Taneja, Priyank Tatariya, and Puneet Panjwani were present to celebrate the show’s launch along with the technicians, writer, and director of the show, Ismail Umarr Khan. Manasvi Arya is the creative director and concept story and dialogue writer for the show.

The grand set is built as an old style Gujarati household with open verandahs, a widespread sitting area with an added desi touch.

Ikyawann director Ismail has earlier helmed popular shows like Banoo Main Teri Dulhann, Saubhagyawati Bhav, Mahadev and Bidaai, spoke about his latest offering for the TV audience. “To be honest, after a long time, I am associating with a show with such a wonderful star cast. Every character has been scripted so well that I'm sure viewers will start liking the negative characters also. When I read the script; I immediately nodded for it. I really liked the concept and hope the audience will too give their blessings. It’s just the beginning,” shared the director.

Presented by Panorama Entertainment Ikyawann is the story a girl, Susheel (Prachi Tehlan) who is 51st child of the Parekh family. For her tall physique and tomboy attitude, she is bullied in her college. Apart from her struggle, the story will also focus on the romantic drama between Susheel and Satya (Namish Taneja), and how the two try to overcome their problems together.
