65th National Awards: Saree-clad Janhvi, Khushi and Boney arrive to receive Sridevi's honour

The 65th National Film Awards are currently underway at the Vigyan Bhavan in Delhi. Veteran actress Sridevi, who left for the heavenly abode in February earlier this year, was posthumously awarded the National Film Award - Best Actress for her last on screen appearance in her 300th film Mom. Husband Boney Kapoor accompanied by daughters Janhvi and Khushi was photographed arriving at the prestigious event to receive the honour on behalf of the late actor. Both Janhvi and Khushi wore a saree to the ceremony while Boney was wearing a navy blue jodhpuri suit.

To mark the ‘emotional and precious moment’, Janhvi chose to wear her beloved mother’s personal saree.

Sridevi, 54, died of accidental drowning in Dubai on the night of February 24, 2018. The star of Chandni, Lamhe, Mr. India, Khuda Gawah, Roop ki Rani Choron ka Raja amongst others was the first female superstar of India. Sridevi will be posthumously seen in a cameo appearance in Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma-starrer film Zero. 

Sridevi is survived by husband Boney Kapoor and daughters Janhvi and Khushi.
