Alia Bhatt graced the couch of Koffee with Karan Season 8 alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan this time and during the conversation she finally went on to comment on the toxicity that she and her husband Ranbir Kapoor received after the actress shared in one of her Instagram videos that  he always asks her to wipe off the lipstick.

Addressing the same, she said, “I have a very candid way of speaking, so even when I am talking about anything in my life, I like to imitate the person that I am talking about. I like to give anecdotes. I like to make it personal.” 

She also took it lightly initially (when the negativity started pouring in) but realised that it was getting more serious and toxic with the time.

She further added, “And I am like 'Are we serious?' There are many issues in the world to talk about and give more attention towards than talking about something that I said in a completely different context." 

Alia further shared that the only reason she has been upset with is that Ranbir was being portrayed in a completely opposite way than he is in real life. 

She continued , “I think the only reason I felt bad or I feel bad is people misunderstand because he's genuinely the opposite of all of that.”

Earlier this year Alia said during the Instagram live video that Ranbir always asks her to wipe off the lipstick as he prefers her natural lip colour.

After which the netizens got outraged and referred to the actor as a ‘red flag’ and ‘toxic husband’

Post which Ranbir also addressed about the same in one of the video chat interactions with the fans and said that he is not on social media and it doesn’t bother him.
