Waheeda Rehman is truly a gem of the Indian cinema with an acting career has been spanned for over 7 decades. The actress today was awarded with the Dada Saheb Phalke Award at the 69th National Film Awards that took place in the capital city.
As the legendary actress walked towards the stage, she received the standing ovation from the entire auditorium.

Waheeda Ji made her debut with the Telugu film Rojulu Marayi 1955. She has also been awarded the Padma Shri Award back in 1972 and Padma Bhushan in 2011 and has been a recipient of three Filmfare Awards.
