69th National Film Awards: Kriti Sanon says she manifested the 'Best Actress Award' for Mimi

Kriti Sanon has now secured her place in the film industry as a National Award winner. The actress today took home the Best Actress medal for her stupendous act in Mimi in which she portrayed the role of a surrogate mother. Kriti jointly shared the award with Alia Bhatt, who won the laurels for Gangubai Kathiawadi

On receiving the award Kriti said ,“I thank God and my fans for everything. My prayers have been answered. I have a diary in which I write about my life, my dreams and my goals. After working in 'Mimi', I had penned down in my diary that I would win the National Award for my performance in this film and I won it. I hope this win inspires boys and girls who watch thousands of dreams and want to make them come true."

The actress will be next seen in Ganapath, releasing in theatres on October 20 this year.
