Mission Raniganj has been one of the most anticipating films of the year. Starring Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra in the lead, the film follows a story of a real life hero, Jaswant Singh Gill portrayed by Akshay, who saved lives of a number of people during the coal mining incident that took place in Raniganj back in November in 1989.

And now the film is making it even bigger, after captivating everyone with its story and super catchy songs, with the great positive word of mouth and tremendously amazing reviews from all across, having cemented its place as the first choice of the audience on National Cinema Day, the film is witnessing houseful shows across the nation. Ahead of the film receiving unprecedented love, the makers have now made a very smart move and independently submitted the film to the Oscars.
