The excitement for Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi’s starrer Ramayana has been palpable among fans. Despite no official updates, the Nitesh Tiwari directorial has been in the news each day. Be it Sunny Deol essaying the role of Hanuman or Yash turning villain, the barrage of speculations is endless. 

As per latest reports, RK is all set to quit alcohol and meat for playing his role of Lord Ram. It is said that he will stop having these items until he is shooting for the film to be ‘as pure as Ram.’ 

The source in one of the entertainment websites quoted, "While the film will be shot, Ranbir will abstain completely from drinking and eating meat. These are not things he would avoid just for his public image, but also, as a dedicated actor Ranbir wants to feel as pure and clean as Sri Rama. In any case, Ranbir is not into late nights and wild parties.”

It is touted that the shooting of the film will begin by next year.
