The Tamil actor and producer Vishal has been the talk of the town after his claim of being asked for Rs 6.5 lakhs by the CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification) board for his film Mark Antony. The film has been doing well at the Tamil box office, post which Vishal decided to release a Hindi-dubbed version of it. But things turned upside down when he was asked for the transfer of the above amount in order to get the screening and certificate. 

Following the incident the actor took to his Twitter and posted a video about the same, sharing the details of the transfers that he made along. He wrote in his caption that although he has already turned the victim of the corruption but it’s wrong and shouldn’t happen to other producers in the future.

Now, CFBC has finally responded to the ongoing scandal and issued a statement for the same highlighting that the board has zero tolerance for corruption, it mentioned,"It has been noticed that despite the online certification system i.e. E-Cinepramaan in place and regular updates on new system improvements for the film producers/applicants, they still choose to apply through intermediaries or agents. This goes against the objective of eliminating third-party involvement in the certification process. However, we have taken note of the allegations being reported very seriously and CBFC has zero tolerance for corruption. Also, the strictest action will be taken against anyone found involved and we shall get into the root cause. Meanwhile, any attempt to malign the image of CBFC will not be tolerated."
