Waheeda Rehman has undoubtedly been one of the most notable actresses of the film industry. With a career spanning over 5 decades, the veteran actress will be honoured with the prestigious Dada Saheb Phalke Award this year. 

Speaking about the same to a news channel, the veteran actress said that she is happy for her work getting recognized and expressed her gratitude. Waheeda ji said, "I am so happy that people ultimately recognized my work. I feel one should keep working with dedication and honesty, then you do get your regards. I want to dedicate this award to all my colleagues, my film industry, everybody from every department. This is for them. In movies, you don't do it alone. Even the greatest director needs his cast to convey his ideas. The industry has loved me a lot, whoever I am today, it is because of them." 

Waheeda Ji made her debut with the Telugu film Rojulu Marayi 1955. She has also been awarded with Padma Shri Award back in 1972 and Padma Bhushan in 2011.
