Alia Bhatt graduates from Dharma Productions with flying colors; to co-produce Jigra with mentor Karan Johar!

Seems like life has come full circle for Alia Bhatt as she is back with her another Dharma collaboration but this time it’s extra special! The actress will not only headline the film but also don the producer's hat!
KJo and Alia have joined forces for Jigra, a film based on prison break, helmed by director Vasan Bala. Interestingly, this is Vasan's third collab with Dharma.

Alia began her acting career back in 2012 by debuting in Karan Johar’s Student Of The Year. From there, she became an integral part of the Dharma banner. Be it a courageous, patriotic spy Sehmat in Raazi or fierce, independent Rani in RRKPK, Alia has indeed graduated with flying colors over the course of time.

In her long list of associations with KJo and Dharma for over a decade, the duo have belated successful films like 2 states, Dear Zindagi, Badrinath Ki Dulhania or Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and more! Jigra will mark Alia’s 12th collaboration with Dharma Productions, which will also be her second film as co-producer under her banner Eternal Sunshine. Alia co-produced Darlings for Netflix in 2022.

Off screen, KJo and Alia share the strongest bonds in the film fraternity where the filmmaker has often referred to the actress  as his first child.
