Did you know Pankaj Tripathi read Indian ancient books and scriptures before signing OMG 2?

Amit Rai's directorial OMG 2, starring Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi, and Yami Gautam in the lead, is all set to release on August 11. After the release of the trailer, the excitement among the audience is palpable. The film's subject is bold and fresh,and has the ability to connect with the nation's youth. 

Now we have learnt that Pankaj Tripathi, who would be seen in the role of Kanti, the devotee of Lord Shiva, has vetted the material for the film rigorously and personally before singing the project. As the film deals with a sensitive topic pertaining to yeh youth with a religious backdrop, all the facts mentioned in OMG 2 have been taken from actual Indian ancient books and scriptures.
 

 

We heard Pankaj himself was surprised with a lot of revelations presented to him during the scripting stage. To ensure the authenticity and to verify whatever was being conveyed in the film, Pankaj apparently called for all the books and scriptures and read them himself. It was only after he ascertained all the facts that he signed the film.

The film will see Akshay Kumar in the role of Messenger of God and Yami Gautam as an antagonist lawyer. OMG 2 will be released on August 11.
