CID was one of the most popular shows in the early 2000s. It attained cult classic status and aired for almost 20 years. The characters of the show became household names and shot to fame instantly. While most actors continued working in films and TV shows after CID shut shop, Viivek Mashru chose to stay away from the limelight. 

Recently, a Twitter user got nostalgic and shared Viivek's picture in a tweet. Netizens then got busy finding his whereabouts. Viivek's Linkedin profile highlights that he is working at CMR University (Lakeside Campus) in Bangalore, Karnataka as the Director - Department of Common Core Curriculum (DCCC). 

When the Twitter user shared the tweet, Viivek replied, "Thank you so much for your kindness, love, and appreciation for whatever little I have done. It means a lot to me and it is deeply appreciated! Infinite gratitude and love, always."

Viivek has acted in the TV show titled Akkad Bakkad Bambey Bo. He has done films like Morning Raga, and Fight Club: Members Only.
