Chandra Kumar Bose, the grandnephew of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, has strongly reacted against Randeep Hooda's upcoming biopic Swatantrya Veer Savarkar. He has stated that Randeep's claim of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose being inspired by Savarkar was a publicity stunt as his film is going to be released soon.
Reacting to the claim made by Randeep, Chandra Kumar Bose strongly criticized the actor's intention. Bose said, “The claim made by Randeep Hooda is absolutely incorrect. He is a famous actor; I'd like to request him to project the correct history, the true history of India's freedom struggle. I think it would be great injustice to the youth if you project wrong history. It is completely incorrect to state Subhas Chandra Bose, Shahid Bhagat Singh and Khudiram Bose were inspired by and followed Savarkar's ideology. Rather he strongly opposed his ideology.”
