Shah Rukh Khan was in Kolkata for the ongoing IPL 2023. The superstar is the owner of Kolkata Knight Riders along with Juhi Chawla. After attending Kolkata Knight Riders vs Royal Challengers Bangalore match on April 6, he met a few acid attack survivors working with his Meer Foundation. Pictures of him with the women went viral on social media.
In the viral pictures, Shah Rukh can be seen posing with each and every acid attack survivor. He even sat down for a chat with them and clicked group pictures. The superstar was dressed in a grey shirt and light blue jeans.
Shah Rukh's Meer Foundation works at the ground level to empower women. In January this year, the NGO extended financial aid to the family of Anjali Singh, the 20-year-old girl, who lost her life on New Year’s morning as she was dragged under a car for several kilometres in Delhi.
Shah Rukh established Meer Foundation in October 2013. It is named after his late father Meer Taj Mohammed Khan.
