Telugu actor Bellamkonda Sreenivas is all set to make his Bollywood debut with the remake of Prabhas’ blockbuster film Chatrapathi. The teaser of the Hindi remake bearing the same name was dropped online today. The remake has been directed by VV Vinayak who has taken the helm from SS Rajamouli who directed the original.
The teaser shows Sreenivas in an action-packed avatar as he pulls off some impressive hand-to-hand fight scenes. Chatrapathi tells the story of a man who rises against oppression to become a messiah and saviour of immigrants as they suffer exploitation.

The film stars Nushrratt Bharuccha as the female lead. It also features Sahil Vaid, Amit Nair, Rajendra Gupta, Shivam Patil, Swapnil, Ashish Singh, Mohammad Monajir, Auroshika Dey, Vedika, Jason, Bhagyashree and others. The script of the film has been written by renowned scriptwriter and father of SS Rajamouli, KV Vijayendra Prasad aka V Vijayendra Prasad, who also wrote the original.
It is bankrolled by Dr. Jayantilal Gada of Pen Studios. Dhaval Jayantilal Gada and Aksshay Jayantilal Gada of Pen Marudhar Cine Entertainment will distribute the movie worldwide. The film is all set to release on May 12, 2023 in theatres.
