Popular and veteran television actors Dipika Chikhlia Topiwala and Arun Govil will reunite after three decades for their new film called Notice. The Ramayana actors who wowed the nation with their portrayal of Lord Ram and Sita in Ramanand Sagar’s iconic serial will be reuniting for their new film after 36 years.
Sharing a begind-the-scenes video from the sets of the upcoming show, Dipika wrote, “On set …Bts.” The video begins with a close-up of the name outside the actress’ vanity van – Sharda (Dipika Chikhlia). We then see her sitting inside rehearsing her lines. Next, we see Dipika in her character look from the show wearing a purple saree and holding a puja kalash or lota in her hand next to the holy basil plant. For a brief period we see Dipika and Arun sitting together on a couch conversing. The video has Rekha Bhardwaj’s song Hamari Atariya Pe from Dedh Ishqiya playing in the background of the video.
Dipika also shared a news article about the reunion on her Instagram stories along with pictures from the sets. The headline of the news article talks about the Sita-Ram reuniting for the film Notice. Dipika and Arun have reportedly reunited for director Pradeep Gupta’s film. Aditya Pratap Singh Raghuvanshi, the film’s producer recently told a tabloid that the film is a modern-day interpretation of Ramayana.
Aditya said that since Arun and Dipika are viewed as Lord Ram and Sita in popular culture, he felt that they were the ideal choice to star in the film. He went on to say that the plot revolves around a vulnerable man who fights for the truth and triumphs over a corrupt administration. Elaborating on the title of the film, he said that it is so-named because it depicts how whenever you receive a notice, it brings with it some sort of problem.
