Akshay Kumar appeared on a recent television interview where he opened his heart out and spoke about a lot of things including renouncing his Canadian citizenship, being the highest taxpayer and broke down while remembering his mother, Aruna Bhatia. Akshay, who has seen one box office failure after another in 2022 broke down when, asked what his late mother’s reaction would be about the flops.
Akshay appeared on a television interview recently on a news channel and while remembering his late mother on the show, he was overwhelmed by his emotions. When he recalled how he used to go straight to his mother’s room after a shoot and talk about the day, he broke down.
When asked how his mother would have reacted to the box office failure of Bachchhan Paandey, Samrat Prithviraj and Raksha Bandhan, Akshay recalled her ‘famous’ words and said, “Unki ek badi famous line hai- ‘Fikr nahi kar puttar, babaji tere naal hai’(She had a famous line-‘Don’t worry son, God is with you’).” Akshay’s mother Aruna Bhatia was a driving force in the actor’s life after his father Hari Om Bhatia passed away. She died on September 8, 2021.
On the work front, Akshay will be seen in Selfiee along with Emraan Hashmi, Diana Penty and Nushrratt Bharuccha which has hit theatres today on February 24, 2023. He will also be seen in Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Capsule Gill, Oh My God 2, Hera Pheri 3 and the biopic on C Sankaran where R Madhavan will also play a pivotal role.
