Called Ada Apni Apni, it will feature two young actors and actresses like Andaz Apna Apna: Rajkumar Santoshi on sequel to the cult film FT. Aamir, Salman, Karisma and Raveena

Rajkumar Santoshi is making a return to direction after nine years with his upcoming film Gandhi-Godse Ek Yudh which is slated to release on January 26, 2023. His last directorial was Phata Poster Nikhla Hero starring Shahid Kapoor in the lead. However, Santoshi is known for several hit films including Khakee, Halo, Damini, Ghatak, Ghayal, Pukaar, Barsaat, Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani and not to mention Andaz Apna Apna that has achieved a cult status in comedy films today. A sequel to the film is being planned for year now but Santoshi for the first time has spoken about it revealing its title.

Speaking to an online portal, Santoshi said that he will announce the film only if Gandhi-Godse Ek Yudh becomes a hit and said, “I want to tell all the fans of Andaz Apna Apna to support all my films. I won’t call it a sequel but we are planning another part in the same franchise (of sorts) titled Ada Apni Apni. It will feature two young actors and actresses, like Andaz Apna Apna. The work is already in progress.”

When asked to reveal the actors who will headline the film, Santoshi said, “I already have the actors in mind for the film but it all depends on how my current film performs.”

Andaz Apna Apna released in 199 and featured Karisma Kapoor, Raveena Tandon, Aamir Khan and Salman Khan in the lead. The film was a semi-hit at the box office when it was released but achieved a cult status over the years. The lexicon of the film has become part of everyday language. Reportedly, Ranveer Singh has been in the consideration for the film for a long time but nothing has been confirmed or revealed so far.
