Vicky Kaushal and Sunny Kaushal’s father and action director Sham Kaushal recently shared an old throwback photo of his sons with Shah Rukh Khan from the sets of latter’s 2001 film Asoka. He also wrote a long note as he reminisced and spoke about divine providence. The photo also showed Sham dressed as an extra while director Vishnu Varadhan also posed for the camera as he worked on the film as assistant director.
Sham captioned the picture, “By God’s grace this photo was taken in 2001 during the shooting of Asoka in Film City (Mumbai). Vishnuvardhan was the assistant director and Vicky was studying in 8th standard. Nobody ever imagined that one day Vicky will join film line and in 2022 both of them will be winning best director and best actor awards respectively for Shershah and Sardar Udham. Destiny and God’s blessings… Rab di meher (blessings of God).”
In the picture, SRK is dressed as his character of Emperor Asoka in the period drama, wearing a black mail with long hair. Vicky can be seen dressed in white T-shirt while Sunny can be seen in a blue shirt. Both the brothers are school-going age.
Directed by Santosh Sivan, Asoka also featured Kareena Kapoor, Danny Denzongpa and Hrishitaa Bhatt. Fans showered praise on the throwback picture and the family.
