Sara Ali Khan is all set to go digital after a series of big-ticket theatrical entertainers. The young actress will be headlining Dharma Productions' upcoming film titled Ae Watan Mere Watan. The film was announced by Varun Dhawan on social media today.
In Ae Watan Mere Watan, Sara will play a valiant, lion-hearted freedom fighter in a fictional tale set against the backdrop of the Quit India Movement in 1942. A thriller drama, inspired by true events, the film has been written by Darab Farooqui and Kannan Iyer. A Dharmatic Entertainment Production, the film is being produced by Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta, with Somen Mishra serving as the co-producer and is being directed by Kannan Iyer.

Ae Watan Mere Watan was announced by Amazon Prime Video on April 28 this year. Sharing the news, the official handle's post read, "Inspired by the true story of a young girl and her unique role in the fight for India's independence."
Sara's look from the film is expected to be out soon.
