After debuting along with Alia Bhatt in Student of the Year, Varun Dhawan has featured in several films with her. Asked about reuniting again on onscreen, the actor said that he would definitely like to work with her again and jokingly said that he will play a nanny to Alia and husband Ranbir Kapoor’s expectant baby.
Speaking to an online portal, Varun spoke about Alia and said, “She is someone who is very close to my heart, and we share incredible chemistry. You can't just make that today. We are good friends, we care for each other, and respect each other. I actually want to work with Alia again. I think it will happen, maybe sometime in the future. I will play a nanny in that, take the child on the stroller.”
After SOTY, Varun and Alia worked together in Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya and Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya, both of which were hits. However, they teamed up again for Kalank in 2019 but the film was a box office debacle.
Alia is expecting her first child with husband Ranbir this year. The couple married in an intimate private ceremony on April 14 this year. On the other hand, Varun has quite a few interesting films lined-up including Nitesh Tiwari's Bawaal alongside Janhvi Kapoor. He will also be seen in Amar Kaushik's Bhediya which also features Kriti Sanon and Abhishek Banerjee.
