India has now one more less reason to laugh because the country’s favourite stand-up comic Raju Srivastava aka Gajodhar Bhaiya passed away today at 58 years of age. He was admitted at AIIMS Delhi after suffering a cardiac arrest on August 10 while exercising at a hotel gym. He was rushed to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and underwent angioplasty. Since then, he was on the ventilator and never gained consciousness. His demise has left a deep void in the hearts of his fans as well as among political leaders and film fraternity, all of whom deeply admired Raju Srivastava for his wit, humour and clean comedy.
President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, political leaders from various parties and several Union ministers including Amit Shah, Yogi Adityanath and Nitin Gadkari on Wednesday condoled the demise of the actor-comedian. Celebs like Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Varun Dhawan, Vicky Kaushal, Swanand Kirkire, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Sonu Sood, Mika Singh, Anupam Kher, Anup Jalota, Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, Ashoke Pandit, Madhur Bhandarkar, Varun Grover, Nimrat Kaur, Sudhir Mishra, Kapil Sharma, Sanjeev Kapoor, Rajpal Yadav, Suneil Shetty, Anil Kapoor, Bharti Singh, Shekhar Suman, Vipul Goyal, Hrithik Roshan and several others expressed their grief over the comedian’s passing.
