Nishi Singh Bhadli, known for acting in shows like Ishqbaaz, Qubool Hai, Hitler Didi and many others, breathed her last on Sunday. She passed away just 2 days after her 50th birthday. She is survived by her husband Sanjay Singh Bhadli, a 21-year-old son, and an 18-year-old daughter.
Remembering her last few days, Sanjay told a leading daily, "Last few weeks, she found it difficult to eat because of a severe throat infection. She stopped eating solid food and we could only feed her liquids. The biggest irony is that we celebrated her 50th birthday on September 16. Though she couldn’t talk, she seemed very happy. I requested her to eat her favourite besan ka laddoo and she did."
Sanjay further added, "She fought hard to survive. She passed away around 3 pm. The biggest pain is that she was with me for 32 years. Even though she was unwell, she was with me. Now, I don’t have anyone to call family other than our two children. My daughter also quit her studies and skipped her board exams to take care of her mother with me. I couldn’t take up any work, as she needed me by her side throughout."
Back in 2020, Sanjay sought financial help from members of the television industry for Nishi's treatment. He shared, "I couldn’t take up any work, as she needed me by her side throughout. A few of my friends and industry people like Ramesh Taurani, Gul Khan, Surbhi Chandna, and CINTAA helped us monetarily. However, I still had to sell my house and car in March to take care of the expenses. Ab toh sab khatam ho gaya."
The actress suffered twin paralysis attacks between February 2019 and August 2020. Sanjay had told a leading daily that she suffered a paralytic stroke on the left side of her body around Raksha Bandhan in 2020. He also revealed that in February 2019, she collapsed at home and was taken to the hospital where she failed to recognise anyone.
