Hera Pheri released in 2000 and was directed by Priyadarshan and is counted among the best comedy films of Bollywood. However, producer Firoz Nadiadwala recently credited late writer-director Neeraj Vora as the brain behind the comic caper. He also went on to direct the sequel to the film, Phir Hera Pheri. The third installment is in the works now.
