Luv Ranjan's set catches fire at Chitrakoot Studio Andheri; Sunny Deol’s son Rajvir evacuated by security from Sooraj Barjatya’s film shoot nearby

A massive fire broke out at Chitrakoot studio in Andheri, Mumbai today with huge cloud of smoke covering the sky. The film sets belonged to Luv Ranjan in which Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor are playing the leads. Sunny Deol’s son Rajvir Deol who was shooting at a nearby set was evacuated to safety by security.

Reportedly, around a dozen fire engines were used to control the raging fire on the film’s sets. The incident took place near DN Nagar Metro Station where the set was erected in an open ground. The studio was made from wood, shed and plastic. As per the fire brigade, it was level-2 fire and the incident happened at around 4:28 pm.

The set was being readied for shoot and pre-lighting was going on. As per reports, Ranbir and Shraddha were supposed to start shooting from next week. There were two more sets of Sooraj Barjatya’s Rajshri Productions nearby. One of the sets caught fire while the other remained unscathed. Sunny Deol’s son Rajvir was shooting on one of these sets and was evacuated by security on time.

Rajvir is making his Bollywood debut with Barjatya’s son Avnish Barjatya’s directorial debut. He is paired opposite Alizeh Agnihotri.
