Mukesh Ambani, Reliance Industries chairman and his wife Nita Ambani hosted the arangetram ceremony of their would-be daughter-in-law, Radhika Merchant last evening at Jio World Centre in Mumbai. The ceremony was attended by who’s who of Bollywood, politics and sporting field including Aamir Khan, Salman Khan and Ranveer Singh. Now, a video of Radhika’s moving dance performance at her arangetram ceremony is going viral on social media.
For the unversed, an arangetram ceremony is a dancer’s debut on-stage after the completion of their formal training in classical dance. The word arangetram comes from Tamil. Radhika, who is engaged to Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani’s younger son, Anant Ambani enthralled everyone with her moving performance on stage. She is a disciple of Guru Bhavana Thakar of Shree Nibha Arts and daughter of industrialist Viren Merchant.
Several videos of her dance performance have surfaced on social media. The Ambani family was all out in force to lend support to Radhika. Mukesh’s brother Anil Ambani, son Akash Ambani with wife Shloka Mehta and son Prithvi and matriarch Kokilaben Ambani were all present at the arangetram ceremony in their traditional best.
Radhika and Anant got engaged in 2019.
