Jersey second trailer: Shahid Kapoor looks for motivation in his son’s hopes as he makes a comeback to the cricket field

The second trailer for Shahid Kapoor’s and Mrunal Thakur’s film Jersey was unveiled today. The film was supposed to release on December 31 last year but due to Covid-19 restrictions got postponed several times. Now, making the wait for the sports drama harder as it hits screens on April 14, the makers have released a second trailer of the film today at a launch event today.

The second trailer shows Shahid taking up cricket once more to see his son happy at the age of 36 years. The trailer is filled with emotional moments as well as setbacks and naysayers who try to curb Shahid’s enthusiasm and make him question his own talent on the cricketing field as he plays the role of a cricketer. Shahid looks for inspiration and motivation in his son's words in the film as he tries to get back to cricket.

Jersey also stars Pankaj Kapur and is directed by Gowtam Tinnauri. It is the Hindi remake of Nani’s Telugu film of the same name that tells the story of a cricketer who fulfils his dream of playing professionally in his 40s due to his son.

Jersey is produced by Allu Entertainment, Dil Raju Production, Sithara Entertainments and Brat Films and is scheduled to release theatrically on April 14.
