Janhvi Kapoor took to Instagram today to share some behind-the-scene footage of her preparations to play a cricketer in her upcoming film Mr and Mrs Mahi. She is paired opposite Rajkummar Rao in the film. The actor shared a bunch of pictures which show her practicing her batting skills in the net with cricketer Dinesh Karthik.
Janhvi captioned the photos, “cricket camp #MrandMrsMahi.” In the pictures Janhvi can be seen packing her cricket kit, batting and sitting and chatting with others helping her get the basics of cricket right. In one of the pictures director Sharan Sharma can also be spotted.
The actor will be portraying a cricketer in what appears to be a sports film. Karan Johar is producing the film under his productions banner Dharma Productions had announced the film last year with a motion poster and had captioned it, “One dream, chased by two hearts. Presenting #MrAndMrsMahi, directed by Sharan Sharma who is back with another heart-warming story to tell with his touch of magic! Starring Rajkummar Rao & Janhvi Kapoor, a partnership to look forward to. See you on the field aka the cinemas on 7th October, 2022.”
