Actress-dancer-politician Hema Malini has been actively working in the film industry for over 5 decades. Be it Hindi or any regional South film, she has left everyone amazed with her beauty, acting skills and of course dance too. Considering her contribution to the field of Indian cinema spread over decades and her body of work, Hema Malini was honoured with the Indian Film Personality of the Year Award 2021 at the opening ceremony of the 52nd International Film Festival of India (IFFI) held in Goa on Saturday.

Hema Malini wore a blue printed saree and looked elegant. Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Anurag Singh Thakur presented the award to the veteran actress, dancer and politician. Expressing gratitude, she said, "I am very happy to receive the Indian Film Personality of the Year Award 2021. IFFI is doing a great job in encouraging our creative youngsters through this international platform."

Apart from Hema Malini, acclaimed lyricist and chairperson, CBFC, Prasoon Joshi, will be presented the Indian Film Personality of the Year Award 2021 at the closing ceremony of IFFI, on November 28, 2021.
