Indian fans are highly disappointed as Priyanka Chopra Jonas did not make it to the latest poster of The Matrix Resurrections. On Wednesday, Priyanka took to Instagram to share the new poster starring Keanu Reeves in the lead. However, the fans were perturbed by her absence on it.
While Keanu was shown in his Neo avatar with the tagline ‘Return to the source’, Priyanka’s absence left the Indian fans reeling as even in the trailer she had a blink-and-you-miss-me appearance. Priyanka shared the poster on social media with the caption, “Step back into the Matrix with this new sneak peek for The Matrix Resurrections. Get ready to watch it in theaters and on HBO Max this Christmas. #TheMatrix @thematrixmovie.”
Fans took to the comments section of Priyanka post and quipped, “Where are you in the poster?” while another wrote, “Ye toh dikhi nahi rahi hai (Priyanka is not even seen in the poster).”
The Matrix Resurrection is the fourth film in the sci-fi franchise and has the potential to send an entire generation on a joyride of nostalgia. The film also stars Jada Pinkett Smith reprising her role of Niobe, and actors such as Christina Ricci, Jessica Henwick, Jonathan Groff and Neil Patrick Harris will be a few new additions to the cast.
Directed by Lana Wachowski, the film will be released on December 22.
