Rani Mukerji who will be seen in YRF’s Bunty Aur Babli 2 with Saif Ali Khan has opened up about her changed equation with her old co-star. Terming their relationship as always ‘different’, Rani said that this time when they teamed up for the film their bonding was as parents owing to Rani having her daughter Adira and Saif parenting his son Taimur Ali Khan with Kareena Kapoor Khan.
In a press statement, Rani said, “Saif is one of my most favourite co-stars and him partnering with me in this film has been truly very special. Saif and my equation was always different through the years we have worked together. This time around it was of course different since Saif had Taimur and I had Adira, even though Saif was a dad all through the years I have known him but I think me becoming a mother this time made us relate to each other even more because we had more conversations as parents and we spoke about our children very often during the shoot of the film.”
Rani, who is married to Yash Raj Film’s head honcho Aditya Chopra gave birth to their daughter Adira in 2015. On the other hand, Saif and Kareena are now parents to two kids -Taimur born in 2016 and Jeh, born in February this year. Saif also has Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan from his ex-wife Amrita Singh.
Interestingly, Saif and Rani play parents to a son in Bunty Aur Babli 2. The film also stars Siddhant Chaturvedi and Sharvari Wagh. The film is directed by Varun V Sharma and is scheduled to release in theatres on November 19.
