Taapsee Pannu has wrapped the shooting of her upcoming sports film Shabaash Mithu. The film follows the life of Indian women cricket team’s captain and cricketer Mithali Raj. Taapsee plays the titular role in the biopic. Taking to Instagram, Taapsee announced the film wrap by sharing a picture dressed in the Indian team’s colours along with her co-stars.
The actress took to Instagram and posted a picture announcing the completion of the shoot and wrote, “8 ki thi jab kisi ne ek Sapna dikhaya tha, ki ek din ayega jab Cricket sirf gentleman’s game nahi hoga. Humaari bhi ek team hogi, ek pehchaan hogi….“Women in Blue” Aa rahe hai hum…. Jald hi….#ShabaashMithu ITS A FILM WRAP! Shabaash Mithu is directed by Srijit Mukherji, who replaced filmmaker Rahul Dholakia after the latter had to quit due to scheduling conflicts brought on by the coronavirus pandemic. The film’s script has been written by Priya Aven and conceived by Ajit Andhare.
The film is backed by Viacom18 Studios. The film’s release date is not out yet.
