Sonakshi Sinha and Huma Qureshi to star in a slice-of-life drama 'Double XL' about overweight girls who fight societal discrimination

Sonakshi Sinha and Huma Qureshi are all set to star in Helmet director Satram Ramani's upcoming slice-of-life drama titled Double XL. The film is said to be a drama about overweight girls and societal discrimination against women who look heavy on the weighing scale.

Journalist Rahul Ray announced the news on Twitter and wrote, "#SonakshiSinha and @humasqureshi to star in #DoubleXL — a slice-of-life drama about overweight girls who fight societal discrimination against women who look heavy on the weighing scale... Mudassar Aziz and @ashwinvarde are producing while #Helmet fame @Satramramani directs!"

The actresses will go through a detailed and healthy process to pile on the kilos for the film and shed them post the film’s shoot. Reports suggest that where they’re expected to look lean, could be shot before they add the kilos.

While Sonakshi is wrapping up work on Kakuda, co-starring Riteish Deshmukh and Saqib Saleem, Huma has been basking in the success of her web series, Maharani, and her recent theatrical release BellBottom.
