Bhansali made his feature film debut with Salman Khan and Manisha Koirala starrer Khamoshi: The Musical. However, he gained popularity with Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam that had Aishwarya, Salman and Ajay in the lead. He followed it up with Devdas, Guzaarish, Black, Bajirao Mastani, Goliyon ki Raasleela-Ram Leela, Padmaavat. He is gearing up for the release of Alia Bhatt starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi.
