The wait is over! Akshay Kumar has finally launched the trailer of his much-awaited espionage thriller Bell Bottom. Directed by Ranjit M Tewari, Bell Bottom also stars Huma Qureshi, Vaani Kapoor, Lara Dutta and Adil Hussain.

The trailer launch event was hosted this evening in Delhi. Now, the makers have released the trailer on YouTube and by the looks of it, the trailer seems promising. Based on a true incident, we get to see the film set in 1984 during the tenure of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Akshay is introduced as the RAW Agent tasked to foil an Indian airplane hijack and rescue Indian civilians. He is introduced with his codename that is Bell Bottom.

Bell Bottom was one of the first major Bollywood productions to get on floors after the lockdown last year. A true-event-based espionage story set during the 1980s about some unforgettable heroes of the era, the film was shot in Glasgow and the UK in a straight two-month schedule last year.

Adding on to the excitement, the makers of the film announced on Monday that Bell Bottom will release in theatres in 3D format too. Akshay shared a video with the background music of the film. He announced the espionage film's 3D release and wrote, "Poore feel ke saath thrill experience karna on 19th August. #BellBottom also arriving in 3D. #BellBottomIn3D"
