Akshay Kumar, who kickstarted the shoot of Aanand L Rai's Raksha Bandhan on June 21, has wrapped the Mumbai schedule of the film's shoot. The actor posted two BTS photos from the film's set as he wrapped the Mumbai shoot. Raksha Bandhan stars Akshay and Bhumi Pednekar in the lead. The film was announced by Akshay on the festival of Raksha Bandhan last year.
Sharing photos with Aanand and Bhumi, Akshay captioned the post as, "I’m already missing walking down the streets of Chandni Chowk. Even though it was a make-believe set…you made it look so real, take a bow @sumitbasu62. My wonderful co-star @bhumipednekar , thank you for providing the right balance with your splendid talent. And @aanandlrai sir…what can I say about you, besides that you’re a wizard and today as we wrap up the Mumbai schedule of #RakshaBandhan, I know I’m leaving the set a better actor "
Four new faces - Shikara actress Sadia Khateeb, Who's Your Daddy fame Deepika Khanna, Smrithi Srikanth and Sahejmeen Kaur - will also be seen in Raksha Bandhan as Akshay Kumar's sisters.
Raksha Bandhan is presented by Akshay's sister, Alka Bhatia and Aanand L Rai. The film is backed by Colour Yellow Productions in association with Cape of Good Films. Kanika Dhillon and her writer-husband Himanshu Sharma are the writers of the film.
