Shilpa Shetty's husband Raj Kundra arrested by Mumbai Police on pornography charges

Shilpa Shetty's husband, businessman Raj Kundra has been arrested by the Mumbai police, on Monday night, for allegedly making pornographic films and publishing them through mobile applications.

In a statement by Mumbai Police chief, Raj Kundra has been arrested today "as he appears to be the key conspirator of this". The police also said they "sufficient evidence" against him, though they added that further investigations are in progress.

The said case involves creation of pornographic films and publishing them through some apps and was registered with the Mumbai Crime Branch in February this year.

Raj Kundra has denied the charges and had sought anticipatory bail in the case.

According to Mumbai Crime Branch, Raj Kundra had invested a sum of Rs 8-10 crore in this industry. Mr. Kundra and his UK-based brother formed a company named Kenrin, registered in United Kingdom. The videos were shot in India and were later transferred to the said company via an app 'We Transfer'.
