Anushka Sharma and Dia Mirza have come forward to amplify the National Commission for Women’s WhatsApp helpline number for expecting women needing medical aid amid the pandemic. They took to their social media to share the number so that it reaches the maximum number. Anushka, who welcomed her baby girl Vamika with Virat Kohli back in January, took to her handle to share the helpline number with expectant mothers who may need it.
On the other hand, Dia, who is expecting her first child with her husband Vaibhav Rekhi, also shared the NCW WhatsApp helpline information on her Instagram story. The message that they shared reads, “@NCWINDIa has launched a 24*7 WhatsApp helpline number-9354954225 for their #HappyToHelp initiative which is for expectant mothers in need of medical aid! The #NCW team will be available round-the-clock for providing medical assistance. You can also reach out to them at helpatncw@gmail.com.”
Kareena Kapoor Khan posts about COVID-19 widows initiative
Kareena has shared information related to COVID-19 widows’ initiative on Instagram. The initiative is designed to help women cope with the loss of their partners and husbands amid the coronavirus pandemic. Sharing the information on her Instagram story, Kareena shared a sympathetic note. She wrote, “We can't begin to understand their pain but we can help them find their footing again. Please spread the word and share this info with someone who needs it. One can also register as a volunteer and contribute to this initiative." The COVID 19 widows’ initiative would help in finding career opportunities and jobs. Not just this, it would help them with counseling across the country.
