Hrishikesh Mukherjee-directed Chupke Chupke (1975) is a classic. Starring Dharmendra, Sharmila Tagore, Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan in the lead, the comedy film struck the right chord with the audience and it is still enjoyed by people of all age groups. The iconic film released in theatres on April 11, 1975, and now, it has completed 46 years. For the unversed, Chupke Chupke is the remake of a Bengali film titled Chhadmabeshi, starring Uttam Kumar and Madhabi Mukherjee.
On this occasion, Mr. Bachchan, who is an active social media user, shared a still from the film with his wife Jaya. Along with the lovely picture, he revealed the connection between his bungalow Jalsa and Chupke Chupke. He said that the bungalow was previously owned by producer NC Sippy. However, the megastar initially bought the house from Mr. Sippy, sold it later and then bought it again. After rebuilding it, the bungalow became Jalsa, where the Bachchan family resides.

Mr.Bachchan further revealed that his iconic films like Anand (1971), Namak Haraam (1973), Satte Pe Satta (1982) and many others were shot at the bungalow. The caption of the post read, "Chupke Chupke “ our film by Hrishikesh MUKERJI.. closing today at 46 years ..!! This house you see in the picture is Producer NC Sippy’s house .. we bought it , then sold it , then bought it back again .. rebuilt it .. this is our home now JALSA !! Many films were shot here .. Anand, NamakHaram , Chupke Chupke , Satte pe Satta , and many more .."
The remake of Chupke Chupke is on the way. Rajkummar Rao has agreed to play the role of Dharmendra in the film. As per reports, Luv Ranjan will be directing Chupke Chupke remake, while Bhushan Kumar is said to bankroll the project under his banner T-Series.
